NOTES : - Edward Randy runs on the same board as Caveman Ninja but the protection chip is different. Robocop 2 also has a different protection chip but strangely makes very little use of it (only one check at the start). Robocop 2 is a different board but similar hardware. - Edward Randy (World rev 1) seems much more polished than World rev 2 - better attract mode at least. - The sound program of Stoneage is ripped from Block Out (by Technos!) - Mutant Fighter introduced alpha-blending to this basic board design. The characters shadows sometimes jump around a little - a bug in the original board, not the emulation. - Caveman Ninja: End of level 2 is corrupt. - Note about verision levels using Mutant Fighter as the example: Version 1 HD-00, Version 2 HD-00-1, Version 3 HD-00-2, Version 4 HD-00-3, ect... WIP : - 0.136u4: Fabio Priuli converted the Caveman Ninja driver to use device versions of the deco16 video chips and added driver_data class and save states. - 0.136: David Haywood changed Caveman Ninja driver to use partial updates for raster effects instead of buffering scanline data. - 0.131u1: MooglyGuy merged memory maps in the Caveman Ninja driver. - 0.122u3: Brian Troha cleaned up inputs/dipswitches in Caveman Ninja driver. - 0.93u1: Aaron Giles fixed OKI frequency to 15255 Hz in the Caveman Ninja games. - 0.64: Added vidhrdw\deco16ic.c, includes\deco16ic.h, machine\decoprot.c and includes\decoprot.h. - 0.53: Added includes\cninja.h. - 14th March 1999: Bryan McPhail has submitted the Caveman Ninja driver with support for also Joe & Mac and Stone Age. - 0.35b8: Added cninja.c driver. |
